Hair Removal Consultation
A consultation is compulsory prior to your first hair removal procedure
A patch test is a short, controlled mini‑procedure performed on a small amount of hair to check how the skin reacts. It is done before a full electrolysis procedure may be carried out. Its purpose is to confirm skin tolerance, identify any adverse reactions, and ensure the most suitable treatment settings are chosen.
Mini‑treatment — I treat a few hairs using the same method and settings planned for the full session. This allows me to observe your skin’s immediate response.
Skin assessment — I check for irritation, redness, inflammation, or unusual sensitivity.
Safety check — If the skin reacts normally on the day, and it has healed properly when it is checked a week later, treatment can proceed. If an adverse reaction has occurred, I will adjust the settings or recommend alternative hair‑removal options.

Removal of Skin Tags
Skin tags primarily grow in areas where there is friction i.e. where the skin forms creases such as the armpits and groin. They also often grow where shirt collars, bra straps and underwired bras rub the skin.

Removal of Blood Spots
Blood spots vary in size from the size of a full stop to the size of a penny. They can be flat (known as cherry angiomas) or raised in a dome shape (known as Campbell de Morgan spots). They range in colour from bright red for small, superficial blood spots to darker red on larger ones. Blood spots most often occur on the trunk of the body particularly on the midriff, back or chest. They also occur on the face and limbs.

Removal of Milia
Milia are tiny, white, raised blemishes, usually seen on the face. They lie under the skin, very close to the surface. A milium cyst is a small, benign plug or cyst and is often found in groups, therefore, usually referred to as the plural 'milia'. They are pearly white, round (sometimes hard) keratinised lumps which become trapped beneath the epidermis (skin). They arise from undeveloped sebaceous glands or sweat glands. They are most typically associated with dry skin and are most often found on the face, appearing on cheekbones or close to the orbital region.

Removal of Facial Thread Veins
Facial thread veins present as a permanent dilation of capillaries which are visible under the epidermis (the skin). They are usually found on more exposed areas of the skin like the nose, cheeks and chin. Capillaries lose their elasticity as part of the ageing process and become permanently dilated (they become larger/wider.) This results in the creation of little blood lines which are usually red, but become darker in colour as they become wider and deeper.
Electrolysis is used to treat red veins. Darker (purple/blue) veins indicate that damaged capillaries lie deeper beneath the dermis (skin). They cannot be treated by electrolysis.

Removal of Spider Naevi
Spider naevi are mainly caused as a direct result of an externally-caused trauma to the skin such as a knock with a sharp object, from a sports/exercise injury, or from a spot having been picked. They have a central dilated blood vessel with smaller, dilated vessels branching from it that look like the legs of a spider.
Electrolysis can be used to treat red veins. Darker (purple/blue) veins indicate that damaged capillaries lie deeper beneath the dermis (the skin). They cannot be treated by electrolysis.
